First step towards the perfect product
Glass Cutting
TGP Cut Glass
Glass cutting process
Cutting a hard but brittle material like glass has its own challenges that require craftsmanship and technology for maximum precision.
The first step in the glass processing procedure is the cutting operation, that is, the transformation of a large sheet of glass into glass panels of the size and shape required for the final product.
The cutting operation involves scoring lines into the surface of the glass and applying a controlled force intended to cause the sheet of glass to separate along the marked line.
A proper cut means the clean separation of glass sections with minimal deviation in both size and shape.
Once the glass sheet is separated into panels, they can be processed according to project specifications.
Automated glass cutting using modern machinery
For precise results with high efficiency and productivity, TGP performs the glass cutting operation using automatic cutting tables manufactured by the leader in the field of flat glass processing machinery.
The integration of high-performance machines in production lines, the commitment of specialized staff and compliance with quality standards allow us to be the perfect partner, offering complete solutions to our customers, regardless of the size of their project.
Cutting laminated glass
Laminated glass consists of two sheets of glass thermally glued together with synthetic foil.
The cutting of laminated glass is carried out by a machine dedicated to this operation. The glass panels are simultaneously and precisely marked on both sides and though pressue the line forms a cut.
The cut is heated for a controlled melting of the synthetic film and the glass separates into panels.
